A link to GitHub plus a short code. It comes from us directly, and it's the only thing we ever ask you for.
You approve it on GitHub
GitHub shows you exactly what Monarch is asking for. You approve it there — never on a page of ours.
Your commits start landing
We prepare the repository and schedule the work. Each commit goes out at its own time, without you being at the keyboard.
What you're granting
- ✓Repository access — to create the repository and push your scheduled commits to it.
- ✓Your GitHub username — so your work is tied to your account and not a shared one.
What we never do
- ✗Show your access token in a browser, put it in a URL, or write it to a log.
- ✗Touch a repository that isn't the one set up for you.
- ✗Ask you for a password, an SSH key, or anything you'd have to generate yourself.
You can withdraw the access at any time from GitHub → Settings → Applications, or by asking us — and we'll revoke it for you.
Built to be trusted with your history
A future commit can't be dragged out early
Pushing a commit also pushes everything behind it, so we stop at the first commit whose time hasn't come. A commit dated next Tuesday cannot appear on Monday.
Nothing is delivered twice
GitHub itself is treated as the record of what has shipped. A commit already there is never pushed again — not by a retry, not by a restart mid-delivery.
